Bunkers in Auburn celebrated its official grand opening last month in downtown. Now, guests can sip a refreshing signature cocktail, grab a bite to eat and burn a few calories. How, you ask? Bunkers is not only a new kind of cocktail bar and restaurant, but it also features state-of-the-art immersive sports simulators.
Patrons can choose from a variety of sports, including golf and football. There are six semi-private suites with room for up to 10 guests at a time. The suites can be booked daily for a time slot of fun or reserved for special occasions, like a small holiday gathering, the Super Bowl or pay-per-view watch parties.
According to reports, the new downtown hot spot is about a block from Toomer’s Corner on Glenn Avenue. With more than 50 parking spots for guests only, locals, college students and visitors alike can easily dine and play in the heart of it all.
The menu
While you’re practicing putting the right spin on the ball, the creators of Bunkers in Auburn already went to work with their unique spin on the drink and food menu.
The beverage menu, for example, includes signature cocktails like the “Caddy’s Margarita” and the “Frozen Azalea.” The margarita is made with 100 percent agave tequila, tart lime, prickly pear agave and Tajin seasoning around the rim. For a full list of cocktails, check out the drink menu.
If you worked up an appetite getting sporty on the simulator, be sure to order from the lunch and dinner menu. There are yummy shareables, wings, burgers, salads and more.
Location
Bunkers in Auburn is located at 250 W. Glenn Ave. in downtown, which is less than two miles from Summer Wind Apartment Homes. That means you can burn some energy and refuel at Bunkers after about a six-minute drive!
