Recent news that Smalls Sliders in Auburn will open this year accompanies news that this will be the first location in Alabama for the burger chain. But it won’t be the only one. Locations are set to “drop” in nearby Montgomery, Prattville and Troy as well.
To clarify, each time a Smalls Sliders opens, it’s referred to as “dropped” because the restaurants are constructed from shipping containers that are craned in and lowered on-site. The unique design is also noticeable due to the bright shade of orange.
Smalls Sliders set out to change the world of big burgers with small ones with their first location, which opened in 2019 in Louisana. Since then, the new franchise has been exploding. Multiple locations across several Southeastern states, including the four Alabama locations, have committed to opening or already opened.
The menu
For starters, the menu is like a slider itself—small. But it’s packed with flavor and combinations. The menu features three things: sliders, fries and milkshakes. There’s also a signature secret sauce called “Smauce®” that is all you’ll need to dip your burger and fries in.
The original Smalls Slider is made with a 100 percent beef patty, melted American cheese, a pickle and Smauce® on a fresh toasted bun. You can make it a “Biggie Smalls” and add an extra patty. Waffle fries with Smalls seasoning are made fresh from russet potatoes.
Finally, complete the Smalls experience with a vanilla, chocolate or cookies and cream shake.
