The annual SummerNight Downtown Art Walk is a free, family-fun evening filled with activities. Each year during the event,downtown becomes an art district featuring local and regional artists, street performers and live music.
Plus, downtown merchants and restaurants stay open past normal business hours.
The kids will love making new friends and new things while getting creative with arts and crafts! In addition to craft time, there will be face painting, inflatables and other activities.

This community favorite is hosted by the City of Auburn, Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, Auburn Arts Association and Auburn Downtown Merchants Association.

This year’s entertainment takes it tropical! SummerNight Downtown Art Walk 2022 is looking forward to welcoming award-winning Daw Mahealani Douglas and Mahealani Polynesian Entertainment.
There will be Polynesian dancers and fire performers, hula lessons and more South Pacific traditions that are sure to get you in the summer spirit! Keep the vacation-mode going to the tunes of Jimmy Buffet as played by Sons of Sailors.
Another fun feature of SummerNight’s is the annual cooking contest. This year’s tropical theme continues with the “Crazy for Coconuts” Culinary Contest.
Crazy for Coconuts Culinary Contest
If you are “Crazy for Coconuts,” and you love to cook or bake, show off your skills in the culinary contest. A panel of four judges will sample the submitted selections. They will be judged on taste, presentation and creativity.
You may submit up to three original, homemade recipes starringnone other than coconuts!
