Palmetto Moon Auburn celebrated their grand opening with live music and fun giveaways the first weekend in April. Now shoppers can stock up on T-shirts, collegiate gear, home décor, gifts, accessories and more seven days a week!
Not familiar with Palmetto Moon? The Charleston-based Southern lifestyle shops offer a large selection of popular brands as well as locally-inspired gifts. A few top brands include Simply Southern, Vineyard Vines and Old Row, for example.
The lifestyle stores also carry a wide range of home décor, glassware, drinkware, coolers, lunch bags and other novelty items. Brands like YETI, Camelbak, Hydro Flask and Swig can all be found at Palmetto Moon too.
Palmetto Moon Auburn is the company’s third Alabama location and 32nd store overall. The other two Alabama stores can be found in Birmingham and Huntsville.

With deep roots in South Carolina, it comes as no surprise the state tree—a Sabal Palmetto—and the iconic crescent moon are featured in the name and logo.
According to the website, Karen and Robert Webster opened the first Palmetto Moon as a seasonal kiosk in Charleston’s Citadel Mall in November 2002. The couple started their new venture just as their youngest daughter left for college.
By the spring of 2003, the first official storefront opened its doors. In the following years, more locations opened as the business grew into a family affair. Today, the couple’s two daughters and their husbands are all a part of the growing company.
